Funeral Services for Rosalee Newell Dixon will be 11 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 12, 2016, at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Monday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.  

Mrs. Dixon, 76, died Jan. 9, 2016, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Mrs. Dixon was an avid member and supporter of the Allen Voluntary Fire Department and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dixon.

She is survived by her sons, Dr. William Dixon and wife, Stacy of Bogue Chitto and Mike Dixon and wife, Carla of Raymond; sister, Linda Holmes of Gulfport; six grandchildren, Thea Marie Dixon Middleton and husband, Mark, Megan Lee Dixon, Claire Elizabeth Dixon, Madison Bailey Dixon, William Sutton Dixon, and Carley Regan Dixon.
