Funeral Services for Mrs. Ouida Wilhite Roberts of Hazlehurst are 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at 12 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Hazlehurst with burial at Topisaw Baptist Church Cemetery in Ruth at 1:30 p.m. 

Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church and Thursday from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. prior to services on Thursday.

Mrs. Roberts, 79, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 15, 1937 to Carl J. Wilhite and Audie “Top” McCartney Wilhite, both of Newellton , Louisana.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, where she was a Sunday School teacher, and she was also a choir member for many years.

Mrs. Roberts was a loving wife and mother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her heart.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Elaine Roy; baby brother, Charles Wilhite; and one grandchild, Adin Roberts.

Survivors are her husband, Charles Roberts; sons, Steve Roberts and wife, Martha, of Arcadia, Missouri; and Carl Roberts and wife, Kerry, of Clinton; daughter, Terry Sandifer and husband, Marvin, of Ruth; eight grandchildren, Heather Baker, Michael Baker, Amber Harbison, Dillon James “D.J.” Roberts, Marvin Thomas “T.J.” Sandifer, Taylor Roberts, Alaina and Jacob Roberts; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her Sunday school class, Vota Vita, that she taught for many years.
