Funeral Services for Mr. Quin Burdette Rutland of Wesson, are Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Mission Hill Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. 

Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m at Riverwood Family Funeral Service. He will also lie in state Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, from 9 until time of service, at the church.

Mr. Rutland, 86, died Jan. 19, 2016, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 23, 1929, to Quin Allen Rutland and Jessie Allie Pitts Rutland.

He was a life-long member of Mission Hill Baptist Church, where he was the longest-tenured deacon in Mississippi for 68 years of service at Mission Hill, and he was a member of American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Marva Gayle Randall Rutland; and his parents.

Survivors are his daughters, Brenda Rutland Lusk and husband, Tommy, and Sonia Rutland Henry and husband, John; four grandchildren, T. Alan Lusk and wife, Rebecca, Dianna Lusk Quirk and husband, Scott, Erica Henry and Luke Henry; and five great-grandchildren, Cooper Lusk, Quinn Lusk, Kate Lusk, Brinley Quirk and Ainsley Quirk.
