Brookhaven Academy standout Allison Livingston signed her official scholarship papers with Copiah-Lincoln Community College Tuesday morning in the Brookhaven Academy Library.

“We are glad to be bringing Allison, as she can play literally any position on the field,” said coach Allen Kent. “Her versatility and extensive travel ball experience makes her a good fit for our program. She’s got a good head for the game and can spray the ball to all fields.”

Livingston posted a .412 batting average in 2015, with a .587 slugging percentage and .602 on base percentage. She also led the team with 27 RBIs with only three strikeouts in 82 plate appearances.

“I can’t say enough about the importance of senior leadership in any sports program and Allison fits the bill perfectly at Brookhaven Academy,” said BA coach Becky Flowers. “We depended on her to step up in a lot of situations for our very young team and she did just that to the best of her ability. Her career at BA is just a stepping stone in her softball future. We wish her all the best in softball and a successful future in whatever her chosen path may be.”
