Prentiss thumps Enterprise

PRENTISS – The Enterprise Lady Jackets captured their second straight division victory Friday night with a 56-32 win over the Prentiss Lady Bulldogs in Region 7-2A action.

In boys’ action, Prentiss beat Enterprise 81-54.

Enterprise will be in action Tuesday night as they travel to Bassfield. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by varsity games at 6 and 7:30 p.m.

Lady Jackets 56, Lady Bulldogs 32

The Lady Jackets quickly overpowered the Lady Bulldogs to cruise to a 32-15 halftime lead. They finished with a 24-17 run in the final two periods to clinch the win.

Courtney Greer paced the Lady Jackets with 17 points. Michelle Herrington netted 12 points. Monisha Pendleton chipped in eight points. Carlee Nations scored seven points. Allisa Barlow had six points. Karlee Burgess added four points, and Breyuanna Johnson finished the night with two points.

Tkeya Black led the Lady Bulldogs with 24 points. Natavia Oatis and Jymia Mcgowan both netted eight points each. Jada Brinson scored six points. Jakeria Madison chipped in four points. Jermia Easterlng ended the night with two points.

Prentiss 81, Enterprise 54

Prentiss got off to a fast start to secure a 31-17 lead after one quarter and carried a 44-29 advantage into halftime.

Prentiss pushed its lead to 67-39 in the third in rout to a 81-54 victory.

Cade Feltus paced Enterprise with 15 points and four rebounds. Dwayne Pendleton chipped in 13 points. Jontavious Smith netted 10 points and was the leader on the boards with five rebounds. Zach Hodges contributed eight points. Darren Richardson scored six points. Austin Carter finished the night with two points.

Kendrick Graves powered Prentiss with 30 points. Kedarius Sumrall netted 20 points. Kevin Hall chipped in 17 points. Tim McNair Jr. scored six points. TaShoderick Collins added four points. Dre’ shune Barnes and Isiah Gatlin finished with two points each.
