GOODMAN – Brookhaven native Micah Redd is ready to start her freshmen softball season for the Holmes Community College softball team.

Redd, along with seven of her teammates, received NJCAA preseason honors this week. Redd was recognized as one of the top incoming players for Holmes.

She was also named to the Presidential List at Holmes. Redd will wear No. 6 this season. She is listed as a pitcher/outfielder.

Redd and the Holmes Lady Bulldogs will begin the season on the road Feb. 5 at Marion Military Institute.
