Absentee voting begins, voter registration deadline nears

Election day in Lincoln County for the presidential primaries will be Tuesday, March 8 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Feb. 6 is the last day to register to vote. The Lincoln County Circuit Clerk’s Office will be open on that day, a Saturday, from 8 a.m. to noon. The office will also be open on Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to noon.

March 5 is the last day to vote absentee vote in person. The clerk’s office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon that day. Absentees by mail must be back by mail on Monday, March 7.

Poll workers are needed. Anyone who interested may call the circuit clerk’s office at 601-835-3435 by Feb. 12.

Sample ballots for the Lincoln County Presidential Primary on March 8 will be published in Tuesday’s edition.
