Daily Leader ads win at MPA event

Daily Leader staff members brought home 14 awards at the Mississippi Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest for advertising.

Michael Granger and Kristi Carney won a combined six first-place awards. The newspaper also won six second-place awards and two third-place awards.

The newspaper competed against other daily newspapers in Mississippi with similar circulation. The awards were announced at a luncheon Saturday in Jackson.
