Graveside services for Mamie Miller Vance Jones of Brookhaven were Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada. National Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, from 12 until 1 p.m. at National Funeral Home in Grenada.

Mrs. Jones, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Coffeeville to Richard Miller and Carrie Price Miller.

Mrs. Jones was employed by Lawrence County Hospital as a nurse until her retirement. She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Richard Miller and Carrie Price Miller.

Survivors are her daughter, Bonnie Vance of Adamsville, Alabama; adopted daughter, Sandra Birch of Adamsville, Alabama; son, Bill Vance (Paula) of Brookhaven; two grandsons, Will Vance (Christi) of Brookhaven and Joshua Vance of Brandon; and two great-grandchildren, Conner Vance and Claudia Claire Vance.
