Funeral services for Ronald “Ronnie” Carney are Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. with burial in Bethel Baptist Church. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  

Visitation is Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church from 5 until 9 p.m.

Mr. Carney, 64, died on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at his residence in Monticello. He was born May 26, 1951, in Columbia to Tom Edgar and Florence “Boots” Sauls Carney.

Ronnie loved spending time with his family, playing Santa, serving as a deacon at Bethel Baptist Church and being on the dozer.

Preceding him in death were parents, Tom Edgar and Florence “Boots” Sauls Carney; and spouse, Myra “Sue” Hedgepeth Carney.

Survivors are his children, Dwayne Carney and wife, Kristi, of Monticello, Misty Grubbs and husband, Cory, of Monticello; brother, Tommy Carney of Monticello; sister, Donna Carney of McComb; and grandchildren, Faith Carney, Addison Carver, Chase Carver and Taylor Sauls.
