Students go for the gold

Photos by Julia Miller / Junior Auxiliary of Brookhaven hosted the 2016 Smile Games Friday morning, an event members hope will become an annual event geared towards sports for special needs children. In the first year, participants came from Loyd Star, West Lincoln, Brookhaven Elementary and Mamie Martin. The event also benefited from volunteers from Brookhaven Academy’s cheerleading team, Loyd Star’s tennis team and Alexander Junior High’s quest program.
