Funeral services for Bernice Wallace Adams are Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial at Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation was Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adams, 93, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at her residence. She was born June 11, 1922, in Bogue Chitto to Zack and Bertie Brown Wallace.

She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto. She was a factory worker for more than 40 years at Stahl Urban Garment Factory and Auburn Sportswear Company. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved making quilts of which she gave many to her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 35 years, John Quincy (J.Q.) Adams; sons, Lamar Adams, Earl Adams, William Frank Adams and Ronnie Adams; siblings, Lois Lambert, Louie Wallace, W. A. Wallace, Bernard Wallace and Shelby Wallace.

Survivors are her eight grandchildren, Phoebe Wallace and James LeCompte, Tonya

Smith and husband, Stacy, Gary Adams and wife, Sarah, Laura Coker and husband,

Bobby, Amanda Adams, John Adams and wife, Kelly, Afton Carter and husband, Shannon, and Blake Adams and Alexis Wall; sister, Jewel Fay Case; one special sister-in-law, Nelda Mae Wallace; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
