Funeral services for Dorothy Helen Bailey were Monday Feb. 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Cash Baptist Church in Lena with burial in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. M.L. Wallace, Bro. Jim Savell and Bro. Bobby Warren officiated. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation was Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Cash Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were Joey Weaver, Lee Tadlock, Chase Eady, Joe McGinty, Kevin McKee and Philip Holifield. Honorary pallbearers were Drew McKee, Dannon Weaver, Mason Eady, Ethan Holifield and Clay McKee.

Mrs. Bailey, 84, died on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at her residence.

Mrs. Bailey had lived in Forest since 1955. She was a member of the Cash Baptist Church in Lena. She enjoyed gardening, doing crafts and spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. She owned a store/gas station for 13 years on Highway 21 in Forest. She retired from the Scott County School District after 10 years of service.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Willie Joe Bailey; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Edward; two sisters, Rose Mae Devore and Lois R. Bryant; five brothers, Jim Edwards, Cloruse Edwards, John Edwards, Farris Edwards and Jack Edwards.

Survivors are her four daughters, Dorothy Jean Tadlock of Jackson, Betty Sue Weaver (Danny) of Lena, Jo Ann Garrett (Bruce) of Brookhaven and Karen Lynn McGinty (Cliff) of Magee; one sister, Beatrice Edwards Hale of San Diego, California; seven grandchildren, Joey Weaver, Lee Tadlock (Stacey), Chase Eady, Joe McGinty, Dawn Mckee (Kevin), Lindsey Holifield (Philip) and Jessica Fortenberry; 12 great-grandchildren, Bailey McKee, Drew McKee, Addie Weaver, Dannon Weaver, Kristopher Alford, Ethan Holifield, Addison Holifield, Mason Parker Eady, Clay McKee, Breland Walker, Brenna Tadlock and Sadie Joe McGinty.
