Funeral services for Wade Columbus Ratcliff Sr. were Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Monticello United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Mike Evans officiated the services. Pallbearers were Denson Case, Jack Leonard, Danny Watts, Jeff Ratcliff Sidney Walker and Ford Nations. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Calcote, Barney Calcote Sr., Earl Benoit, Johnny Davis, Jimmy Sutton, Al Sutton Jr., Claven Dunaway, Charlie Morgan and Dewayne Case. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation was Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Ratcliff, 82, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. He was born Aug. 20, 1933 in Monticello to Andrew Jefferson and Myrtis Lee Calcote Ratcliff.

Mr. Ratcliff served in the United States Army during the Korean War, he was a graduate of Millsaps College and earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting, past president of Mississippi Termite Association in 1990, member and past President of the Lions Club. He was a 32-degree mason and a retired owner of Mr. Termite Control.

Proceeding him death were his parents, Andrew Jefferson and Myrtis Lee Calcote Ratcliff; three siblings, Catherine R. Sutton, Gladys Lee Ratcliff and A.J. Ratcliff; son, Wade C. Ratcliff Jr.; and grandson Andy Ratcliff.

Survivors are his wife, Margie Watts Ratcliff of Monticello; daughter, Peggy Harbeson and husband, Clyde of Florida; son, Jeff Ratcliff of Monticello; and three grandchildren, Michelle Ratcliff, Megan Ratcliff and Stille Harbeson.
