Funeral services for Sidney Jerome Johnson Sr. are Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in the Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  Bro. Benji Pyeatt will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Visitation is Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson, 58, died Feb. 17, 2016, in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He was born Feb. 24, 1957 in Brookhaven to Sidney and Bobbie Redd Johnson.

He was a member of Johnson Grove Church of Christ in Bogue Chitto. He was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Sidney and Bobbie Redd Johnson.

Survivors are his son, Sidney Jerome Johnson Jr. of Bogue Chitto; daughter, Jamie R. Johnson of Pearl; granddaughter, Lisa Johnson; brothers, Wayne Johnson and wife, Pearlean, of Bogue Chitto and Nathan Johnson and wife, Pam, of Bogue Chitto; sister, Regina Johnson of Wesson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
