Funeral services for Curtis Weldon Johnston of Summit are Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Jones Family Funeral Services with burial in Johnston Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Walker will officiate. Jones Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation is Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, from 12 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnston, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 2, 1931, in Summit to Hughie T. Johnston and Nina McDaniel Johnston.

Mr. Johnston retired in 1992 from the St. Louis Post newspaper as a typesetter. He was a member of Moaks Creek Baptist Church, and he was a beloved son, brother, uncle and special friend to many.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his two sisters, Louise Hodges of Summit and Loretta Hall of Bogue Chitto; two sisters-in-law, Minonne Johnston of Summit and Mavis Johnston of McComb; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
