Funeral services for Joseph W. Weathersby are Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.  Bro. Michael Falvey will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation is Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home and Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, from 1 p.m. until time of services.

Mr. Weathersby, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at his residence in Brookhaven. He was born June 9, 1935, in East Carrol Parish, Louisiana, to Ernest Lafeyette and Willie Ester Teasley Weathersby.

He was of the Mormon faith and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Brookhaven.

He loved gardening and was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great­grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Effie Lee Case and Margie Shows; and brother, Cecil Weathersby.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Faye Weathersby of Brookhaven; daughters, Brenda Hutchins and husband, Chris, of Bolton and Connie Lynn Bigner and husband, Robert, of Summit; sons, Thomas Weathersby of Pearl, Jeffrey Paul Weathersby and wife, Lynn, of Brandon, Roger Dale Weathersby of Pearl, Jamie Ray Britt and wife, Donna, of Brookhaven and Toby Wayne Britt and wife, Sabrina, of Wesson; sisters, Inez Clark and Joy May Riedie, both of

Louisiana, Earnestine Elkins and husband, Howard, and Joann McCann and husband, Terry, both of Mississippi; numerous grandchildren and great­grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
