Funeral services for Cynthia Louise Doty of Brookhaven are Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial at 4 p.m. at Eastern Cemetery in Forest. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation is Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood and Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, from 12 p.m. until time of service at First Baptist.

Mrs. Doty, 71, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016. She was born Sept. 14, 1944, to William M. O’Hare and Jimmie DuLaney O’Hare.

Mrs. Doty graduated from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas in nursing. She retired from nursing from King’s Daughters Medical Center where she served as a surgical nurse, the joint commission coordinator and also the clinical applications specialist and earned employee of the year. Mrs. Doty also was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Jimmie O’Hare; and son, Campbell Doty.

Survivors are her husband of 49 years, David S. Doty; brother, William “Bill” Major O’Hare; and sister-in-law, Susan Doty Adams.

Floral offerings or memorials to the Campbell Doty Scholarship Fund at First Baptist Church Brookhaven may be made.
