Dolores Madison Segrest, 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at the Heart Hospital in Bakersfield, California. She was born Jan. 21, 1934, in Quentin.

Dolores was a member of New Hope Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed making quilts, playing with Tootsie, her beloved pet, and helping other people.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jim Madison and Donis (Nannie) Impson Madison; two brothers, J.H. and Jackie Madison; and sister, Ramona M. Mardis.

Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Bertrand Moses Segrest Jr.; son, Johnny Rene Segrest and wife, Jennifer D. Segrest; and grandson, Austin Segrest, all of Bakersfield, California; brothers, Joe Madison and Joe (Jerome) Madison; and many nieces, and nephews and family friends.
