The FBI has been notified and the incident is under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.

Lawrence County Sheriff Lessie Butler said Saturday the incident is still under investigation.

“No more evidence has been collected from the scene right now,” Butler said. “We are investigating the cross to see how it was put together and see if we can get any more information off of it to send to the crime lab.”
