Memorial services for Ronald Everrett Barksdale are Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Union Hall Baptist Church. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Barksdale, 65, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born June 2, 1950 in Hazlehurst to Everrett Henry Barksdale and Mildred Johnson Barksdale.

He was a crane operator; a 32nd Degree Past Master of Fair River Masonic Lodge; member and clown, of Wahabi Temple Shriners; husband, father, grandfather; and a jack of all trades. He was a member of Union Hall Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; mother-in-law, Gladys T. Jordan; father-in-law, Houston Jordan; brother-in-law, Calvin Jordan, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Louise J. Cleckler.

Survivors are his wife, Laura Jordan Barksdale; sons, Ronald Shea Barksdale, Joseph Dustin Barksdale; son-in-law, David Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Dana Barksdale; brother, Larry Barksdale; sister, Ann Case; and three grandchildren, Gavin Barksdale, Alexis (Ali) Barksdale and Lauran (Olive) Barksdale.
