WESSON – The 2016 Co-Lin men’s tennis season got off to a strong start with 9-0 win over Northeast. The doubles teams set the tone for the day.

The Wolves No. 1 team, freshmen Matteusz Kimelski and Cory Alderman, won their match over Jacob Price and Paxton Pearce, 8-1.

The No. 2 team, Will Pennington and Hayes Thompson won their match against Jesus Osorio and Cory Lindsey 8-2.

Finally, the No. 3 doubles team, Braxton Hinton and Drake Nelson blanked Nathan Cleveland and Landon Boswell 8-0.

In singles action, Kimelski dominated at the No. 1 slot, winning 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Skylar Moody beat Osorio 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot. Hinton blanked Pearce at No. 3 6-0, 6-0. Thompson defeated Cleveland at the No. 4 position 6-1, 6-1, and Nelson beat Scroggins 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 5 position. No. 6 singles, Alderman defeated Lindsey 6-2, 6-0. Cole Moak defeated Baswell 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) to wrap up the day.
