Co-Lin Media / Co-Lin’s Susanna Ratcliff, of Brookhaven, returns a serve in JUCO women’s tennis action against Northwest.

WESSON – The Co-Lady Lady Wolves won their first tennis match of the season over Northeast.

The day started slow for the Lady Wolves as only one doubles teams earned a win. Madison Warren and Brandi McInnis teamed up at the No. 1 slot and defeated Annie Tumbleson and Starla Rogers 8-0.

Susanna Ratcliff and Chantel Quarles fell in the No. 2 position to Kerston Jumper and Katey Gardner, 8-4.

The No. 3 team, Bayli Battle and Julie Kramer, fell to Northeast’s Brittney Rencher and Amber Norris 8-1.

The Lady Wolves stepped up the play in singles action winning four of the six matches and securing the win. At No. 1, Warren, blanked Tumbleson 6-0, 6-0. Brandi McInnis, fell in a tough battle to Northeast’s Jumper 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-7 at No. 2. Chantel Quarles fell to Gardner 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3, Susanna Ratcliff defeated Rogers 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4, Bayli Battle beat Norris 6-0, 6-3 at No. 5, and Julie Kramer Co-Lin’s No. 6 won a tough match and sealed the win for the Lady Wolves defeating Rencher 2-6, 6-3, 10-7 at No. 6.
