Graveside services for James Roger Stennett were Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Stennett, 83, died Feb. 29, 2016, in Ridgeland. He was born Oct. 28, 1932, to Charlie J. Stennett and Lucrecia Sims Stennett.

He served his country in the United States Army with an honorable discharge in 1951 and Marines with an honorable discharge in 1956. Mr. Stennett was a member and faithful deacon for 48 years of Easthaven Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Charlie J. and Lucrecia Stennett; eight brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Rachel Stennett; son, Bryan Stennett and wife, Tammy; daughter, Leah Stennett Drzycimski and husband, David; and four grandchildren, Landon Stennett, Taylor Drzycimski, Shayla Drzycimski and Shelby Bryant.
