Franklin Co. archery wins

In Franklin County the bow and arrow is all about winning championships.

The three-time defending Class 3A champions picked up where they left off, from last season, by showcasing their talents at a recent Archery meet.

The FCHS Archery team, coached by Connie Michelle Johnston, took home first place in a regional meet in Columbia. The Bulldog shooters bested nearly 20 teams in the meet.

Placing first for Franklin County was Bryden Herring with a final score of 274 points. Wyatt Martin followed him with a 272, and Monte Marin a 265.

Kenneth Davis shot a 263, Jonathon Thornton a 262, Kelsi Barron a 262, Zoe Terrell a 261, Patrick Lehmann a 260, Hayden Tanner a 258, Kryslynee Poole a 258, Anna Grace Wilson a 246, Leigh Beth Hurst a 244,

These 10 Bulldogs archers were the 10-best shooters for the team out of several that shot in the meet.
