West Lincoln defeated Bogue Chitto 10-0 Saturday in the Lincoln County Invitational baseball tournament at Loyd Star. Pitcher Seth Bivens threw a no-hitter.

“We did a good job today of taking care of business,” said West Lincoln coach David Gilbert. “Bivens threw the ball really well today. He worked ahead in the count and worked both sides of the plate. Throwing a no-hitter is something special and that is his second one in this young season. I was very proud of him today. Offensively we hit the ball well and we were able to steal some bases to put pressure on the defense. It was a great team win.”

After a scoreless defensive battle in the first inning, West Lincoln went up 1-0 in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by Nathanael Addison. The Bears piled on three more runs in the bottom of the third after Lofton Sills hit a double to score Kylar Fielder. Brady Thompson also singled to score pinch runner Jayden Rushing.
