Funeral services for Nealey Blair Brown, 18, will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016, at 4 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.
Visitation is Monday, March 7. 2016, from 2 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Nealey Blair Brown, died on March 4, 2016. She was born on Nov. 14, 1997, to Shawn Blair Brown and Heather Vaughn Brown.
Nealey was a December graduate of Brookhaven High School where she served on the year book and newspaper staff and participated in forensics and the homecoming production. Nealey was a Mississippi Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. She also earned an ACT scholarship. She was a freshman at Copiah-Lincoln Community College at the time of her death, with the ambition of becoming a child-advocacy attorney. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death was her father, Shawn Blair Brown; her great-grandparents, Jack Morris Turnbough, Ingram Vaughn, Junius and Audrey Brown and Cleveland and Nell Mott.
Survivors are, her mother, Heather Vaughn Brown; brother, Payton Mott Brown; sister, Lauren Elizabeth Brown; grandparents, Debbie and Glen Schulz of Katy, Texas, John E. and Vicki Vaughn of Pensacola, Florida, and Lewis and Mary Ruth Brown of Brookhaven. great-grandmothers, Pauline “Mam” Vaughn and Dorothy Elizabeth Turnbough; uncles and aunts Graham Channing Vaughn, Jessica Vaughn-Clark, Joshua Michael Clark, Brian and Mynda Schulz and Melissa Schulz; along with a host of great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. Nealey was also survived by two very special friends, Caleb Lee Watts and Erica Skye Pruden.
