Funeral services for Margaret L. Richardson are Sunday, March 13, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, Louisiana, at 2 p.m. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

Visitation is Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Sunday, March 13, 2016, from 9 a.m. until time of services.

Mrs. Richardson, 79, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at her residence. She was born Oct. 1, 1936, in Tensas Parish, Louisiana to O. W. and Sallie Ashlin Watkins.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Summit. She worked for many years as a registered nurse and retired as the district supervisor of the Mississippi Department of Health in McComb. She enjoyed sewing, reading, putting puzzles together and playing Scrabble. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, O. W. and Sallie Ashlin Watkins; three sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors are her husband of 58 years, C. L. Richardson of Bogue Chitto; daughter, Deborah Richardson Burg and husband, David, of Decatur; sons, Charlie Richardson and wife, Kathy, of Columbia, Louisiana and Ronnie Richardson and wife, Jeannine, of Bogue Chitto; sister, Jo Allen and husband, Richard, of Jayess; grandchildren, Sabrina Richardson Boyd and husband, Troy, Kelly Richardson Warner and husband, Kit, Buddy Richardson and wife, Chassity, and Lee Richardson and wife, Amber; eight great-grandchildren; a special caregiver, Sacia Moak and husband, Terry; and a host of family and friends.
