The family of Mr. Edward McIlwain will have a private memorial service at a later date. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 

Edward McIlwain, 67, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. He was born Sept. 29, 1948, to Delos Wallace McManus and Hazel Ashley McManus Maples.

Mr. McIlwain served his country in the U.S. Army for eight years as a staff sergeant. He worked previously with the pest control services and in security.

Preceding him in death were his father Delos McManus and his wife Carolyn Blackwell McIlwain.

Survivors are his son, John McIlwain of Wesson; and mother, Hazel McManus Maples of Brookhaven.
