Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Batte, of Mount Olive, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Mallory Batte, to Chuck Laird.

He is the son of Vicky Laird, of Brookhaven, and the late Frank Laird.

The bride-elect is a graduate of William Carey University where she received a Bachelor of Science in business. She is currently employed as a dental hygienist in Collins.

The prospective groom is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine and exercise physiology. He is currently self-employed.

The couple will exchange vows at Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the Venue in Hattiesburg.
