Funeral services for Dorothy Pepper Brooks, 85, are on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Ramah Baptist Church in Franklin County at 2:30 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation was Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home

Mrs. Brooks died on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Haven Hall Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was born on June 17, 1930, in Lincoln County to Van and Josie Mae Pepper. She was a member of Ramah Baptist Church. She enjoyed puzzles, bingo and working in her yard. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Van and Josie Mae Pepper; husbands, Charles Moore and William Brooks; sister, Wilma Porter; and brothers, James Horton Pepper, T.L. Pepper, Marlon Pepper and Jerry Pepper.

Survivors are her daughters, Kathy Moore Wallace and husband, Calvin, of Brookhaven and Brenda Moore Irby and husband, James, of Oxford; sons, Van Moore and wife, Judy, of Aberdeen and Mark Moore and wife, Beverly, of Jackson; sisters, Gladys Richardson, Ruth Newman and Josie Wright; grandchildren, Denise White and husband, Randy, Dwayne Roberts and wife, Dana, Chad Roberts, Kenny Skipworth and wife, Dana, Donna Skipworth, Brian Moore and wife, Joni, Bradley Moore and wife, Jodi, Ian Moore and Dustin Moore; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
