BPD investigates stabbing incident
The Brookhaven Police Department is searching for a person in connection with a stabbing incident Saturday morning.
BPD responded at 7:30 a.m. Saturday to a call of a person with a stab wound at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Brookhaven Police Chief Bobby Bell said.
The victim said he was walking at the intersection of Jackson Street and Industrial Park Road to the store when a black male approached him and stabbed him in the back, Bell said.
The BPD does not know if the stab wound was made with a knife or another sharp object, Bell said. Bell does not want to release the name of the victim while the incident is still under investigation. The police department is still in search of the perpetrator.
