Funeral services for Janie L. Magee, of Brookhaven, are Friday, March 18, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Beulah Chapel Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation is Thursday, March 17, 2016, from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Magee, 95, died Monday, March 14, 2016, at Haven Hall Nursing Center. She was born April 5, 1920, in Copiah County to Willie Hill and Ludella Donahue Hill.

Preceding her in death were her husband, J. C. Magee; father, Willie Hill; mother, Ludella Hill; and sons, James Magee Sr. and John Magee Sr.

Survivors are her son, Tommie Lee Hill of Virginia Beach, Virginia; step-son, David Lenoir of Brookhaven; daughters, Karen (Harold) Henderson and Scherry Magee Godbold both of Brookhaven; sister, Willie C. Holmes of Jackson; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two god children.
