Lady Jackets beat Prentiss, falls to Clinton

PRENTISS – The Enterprise Lady Jackets blanked the Prentiss Lady Bulldogs 17-0 Tuesday night in Region 7-2A fastpitch softball action.

In Saturday’s contest at Lawrence County, the Lady Jackets lost a 1-0 decision to the Clinton Arrows.

The Lady Jackets quickly took care of business as they clobbered the Lady Bulldogs in the first inning to claim a 8-0 lead. Enterprise scored four runs in the second inning and five more runs in the third inning to secure the win in three innings of action.

Kaylin Chemin pitched the win for the Lady Jackets with three strikeouts and no walks.

Carlee Nations (3K, 1BB) and Kristen Walker (2K, 0BB) both pitched one inning each in relief.

Carlee Nations directed the Lady Jackets at the plate with two singles. Lynsey Nations, Molly Burke and Kelsey Smith provided a single each.

Karleigh Crutchfield was the winning pitcher for Clinton with nine strikeouts and one walk. Haley Nations suffered the setback in the circle for Enterprise with 10 strikeouts and one walk.

Tagen Remmel led the Lady Arrows’ offense with a double. Morgan Dubose hit a single.

Haley Nations paced the Lady Jackets’ offense with two singles. Jana Nations had a single.
