Funeral services for Edward A. McKinney are Monday, March 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Union Church Baptist Church with burial in McBride Cemetery. Riverwood Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation is Sunday, March 27, 2016, at 5 p.m. at Union Church Baptist Church.

Mr. McKinney, 94, died on March 26, 2016, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 1, 1921 to William Leon McKinney and Nannie Smith McKinney.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Union Church Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Bruce McKinney; grandsons, Justin McKinney and Jared McKinney; and sister, Louise Able.

Survivors are his wife, Martha Elizabeth McKinney; sons, Edward L. McKinney and wife Becky, Barney H. McKinney and wife Sheila, Danny R. McKinney and wife Christy; daughter-in-law, Teresa McKinney; daughter, Teresa McKinney Smith and husband, Timothy; sisters, Juanita M. Terrien and Patricia M. Kimble; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
