Funeral services for Mary Jane Broadway Spruill of Brookhaven are Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation is Friday, April 1, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood. 

Mrs. Spruill, 82, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at her residence. She was born on June 30, 1933, to Gipson D. Broadway and Mary L. Bright Broadway.

Mrs. Spruill was a retired independent insurance agent and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Institute Learning in Retirement and 50-plus club.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James Spruill; parents, Gipson and Mary Broadway; and brother, Tommy Broadway.

Survivors are her sons, Jimmy Spruill, Jerry Spruill and Jackie Spruill; daughters, Janice Young and Judy Spruill; one sister, Dot Scott; and seven grandchildren, Casey Young, Misty Vowell, Jim Spruill, Joe Spruill, Jason Spruill, Tyler Spruill and Minda Scott; and six great grandchildren.
