Memorial services for Pearlie Delaughter Crane are Friday, April 1, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jim Mannon will officiate.

Visitation is Friday, April 1, 2016, from 11:30 a.m. until time of services.

Mrs. Crane, 103, died Sunday, March 27, 2016. She was born Jan. 1, 1913, to F.H. Delaughter and Dixie King Delaughter.

Mrs. Crane was the seventh of 14 children born to F.H. and Dixie Delaughter. In April of 1931, she married Oscar Crane who passed away in January of 1986.

They were lifelong residents of the East Lincoln and Fair River communities. Mrs. Crane loved the lord and her church and taught Sunday school for many years at Bethel Temple United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Crane was a long-time member of Brookhaven First Assembly of God and enjoyed her church family very much. She will be remembered by her family for her determination, humor, wit and her memory, which was exceptional until her late 90s.

Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings; husband; one daughter; an infant son; and three grandsons.

Survivors are her son, Oscar L. Crane (Patricia); daughters, Iva P.  Rutland (Louie) and Evelyn Hanks (Chester); five grandchildren, Alison Crane (Jennifer), Nelson Crane (Denice), Marty Rutland (Lana), Shane Hanks (Gina) and Lisa Hanks Fokakis (Johnny); 16 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, who affectionately referred to her as Aunt Pearlie.

Carroll Miller Hutson Sr.

Funeral services for Carroll Miller Hutson Sr. are Friday, April 1, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Sylvarena Baptist Church in Wesson with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, April 1, 2016, from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.

Mr. Hutson, 69, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at his residence in Wesson with his loving family by his side. He was born on Dec. 11, 1946, in Wesson to Wilmer C. and Elene Ritchie Hutson.

He was a member of Sylvarena Baptist Church in Wesson and worked for many years as a truck driver with Croft Metals, Frito Lay and Wal‐Mart. He was the owner and operator of C. M. Hutson Trucking. He was a professional truck driver. He received numerous awards for his driving skills, competing in truck rodeos and for driving over 10 million miles accident free. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his horses. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Wilmer C. and Elene Ritchie Hutson; and brother, Wilmer B. Hutson.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Evelyn Louise Hutson; daughter, Tina Louise Hutson Rutland of Terry; son, Carroll “Mann” Hutson Jr. and wife, Melissa, of Wesson; sisters, Joy Wesbrook, Gloria Millwood, Shirley Hennington, Marilyn Britt, Rita Fuller, Ginene Walker and Dixie Thornton; brother, Randy G. Hutson; grandchildren, Lacey Rutland, Kacey Rutland, Matt Lenard, Jackie Hutson Edwards, Austin Hutson, Tyler Hutson and Brenham Hutson; great-grandchildren Brianna Rutland, Kameran Rutland, Lane McManus, Wyatt McManus, Jaxon McManus, Rayne McManus and Miles Lenard; and a host of family and friends.
