A life that spanned over a century came to an end when Mrs. Crane died Sunday, March 27, 2016. Mrs. Crane was the seventh of 14 children born to F.H. and Dixie Delaughter. In April 1931, she married Oscar Crane who passed away in January of 1986.

They were lifelong residents of the East Lincoln and Fair River communities. Mrs. Crane loved the lord and her church and taught Sunday school for many years at Bethel Temple United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Crane was a long-time member of Brookhaven First Assembly of God and enjoyed her church family very much. She will be remembered by her family for her determination, humor, wit and her memory, which was exceptional until her late 90s.

Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings; husband; one daughter; an infant son; and three grandsons.

Survivors are her son, Oscar L. Crane (Patricia); daughters, Iva P.  Rutland (Louie) and Evelyn Hanks (Chester); five grandchildren, Allison Crane (Jennifer), Nelson Crane (Denice), Marty Rutland (Lana), Shane Hanks (Gina) and Lisa Hanks Fokakis (Johnny); 16 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, who affectionately referred to her as Aunt Pearlie.
