The Sumrall Bobcats knocked off the Loyd Star Hornets 11-1 Saturday at Moyer Field in Brookhaven.

“Our pitchers struggled to throw first-pitch strikes against a good team like Sumrall,” said Loyd Star coach Jared Britt. “They did a good job making us pay for our mistakes. We played a lot better earlier today, but it showed us that we still have a lot to work on to win consistently. We need to clear our heads and start preparing for district action next week.”
