A Sunday afternoon motorcycle accident left two people injured in Pike County.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to an accident involving two motorcycles at 3:02 p.m. Sunday on I-55 N. south of exit 20.

MHP Troop M Spokesman Cpl. Brandon Fortenberry said Robert Woodall of McComb was driving a Yamaha motorcycle when it merged into the opposite lane and hit a Honda motorcycle. The driver of the Honda, Tanner Guy of Ruth, lost control and the motorcycle flipped several times, he said.

Guy was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with serious injuries and the Honda motorcycle passenger, Katherine Roberts of Ruth, was transported to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries, Fortenberry said. Woodall did not suffer any injuries, he said.
