Memorial services for Willie Eugene King are to be held at a later date. Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. King, 88, died Saturday, April 2, 2016. He was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Brookhaven.

Mr. King was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Harriet E. King; his parents, James W. Lela Caraway King; and two sisters.

Survivors are his daughter, Connie Dean; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project of Main Street Baptist Church.
