The Lawrence County Lady Cougars feasted on the Mendenhall Lady Tigers 14-0 Tuesday night at Mendenhall.

The Lady Cougars (12-5, 6-0), coached by Meleah Howard, will resume division action today when the travel to Florence to take on the Lady Eagles. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 6:30 p.m.

The Lady Cougars quickly took care of business, scoring four runs in the first, one run in the second, four more runs in the third and finishing off the Lady Tigers in the fourth with five more runs.

Jordan Harp was the winning pitcher for the Lady Cougars with six strikeouts and no walks.

Elizabeth Smith powered Lawrence County with a double and two singles. Sydney Pevey contributed a double. Callie Fortenberry, Zyon Feazell and Alyssa Lambert hit a single each.
