Funeral services for Kenneth C. Stewart Jr. of Gillsburg are Sunday, April 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Easthaven Baptist Church with burial at Gillsburg Memorial Gardens in Gillsburg at 4 p.m. 

Visitation is Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

Mr. Stewart, 69, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1947.

He was an associate at Lowe’s in McComb. Prior to employment at Lowe’s, he owned and operated Stewart and Williams, Inc. in Gillsburg for 32 years.

He was in the United States National Guard and a member of Easthaven Baptist Church.

Mr. Stewart was active in spreading the gospel to the world. He was a board member of Uttermost Evangelism. He participated in mission trips to Romania, Turkey and China.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Kenneth C. Stewart Sr. and Helen Sproles Stewart; brother, William S. Stewart Sr.; and sister, Patricia Stewart Strum.

Survivors are his wife, Jean Allgood Stewart; son, Todd Stewart and wife, Alisa, of Taylors, South Carolina; daughter, Michelle Dillon and husband, Stacy, of Summit; sister, Carol Stewart Moody of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Tori Havlin and husband, Gary, Chloe Harvey, Melea Harvey, Tyler Stewart, Madison Stewart, Brittney Beard and husband, Shane, Taylor Johnson and husband, Cain and Hailey Dillon; and three great-grandchildren, Braden Smith, Zoey Johnson, and Maddi Beard.
