Lady Wolves continue winning streak with sweep over Northeast

BOONEVILLE – The Co-Lin Lady Wolves moved to 28-8 on the season as the team picked up a 14-4 and 7-3 win over the Northeast Mississippi Lady Tigers. The wins gave the team their ninth and tenth victories in a row after five consecutive MACJC series sweeps.

Co-Lin will host the NJCAA’s No. 2 ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast for a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m.

“Kamry and Trevlyn did a good job staying ahead in the count in both games,” said Co-Lin head coach Allen Kent. “Our defense played really well. Brittany Barbay and Lauren Brashier made some solid plays on balls hit to their left. Offensively, we did a good job of staying inside of the ball and hitting middle and to the opposite field. Our girls showed up ready to play after the long five-hour drive.”
