Wolfpack netters dispose of Northwest

SENATOBIA – Co-Lin’s men’s tennis team jumped out to an early lead over the Northwest Rangers picking up two quick doubles wins.

The Wolfpack (9-2) clinched four more victories in singles action giving them a 6-3 victory Tuesday.

Matteusz Kimelski and Cory Alderman grabbed an early win at No. 1 doubles after they defeated Thomas Hall and Luke Wilson 8-3. Hayes Thompson and Will Pennington played in the No. 2 doubles fell to Dalton Young and Zak Harrin 8-2. Braxton Hinton and Drake Nelson continued their dominating performance at No. 3 doubles as they defeated Zaen Harrin and Quentin Hutchinson, 8-2.

In singles action, Kimelski won soundly at the No. 1 spot over Northwest’s Thomas Hall, 6-0, 6-0. Skylar Moody grabbed a win for the Wolves at No. 2 with a hard fought 7-5, 6-2 victory over Luke Wilson. Co-Lin’s Braxton Hinton lost at No. 3 to Dalton Young by a final score of 6-3, 6-2. Hayes Thompson fell to Northwest’s Zak Harrin at the No. 4 6-2, 6-4. Drake Nelson, the Wolves No. 5 player, defeated Zaen Harrin 6-0, 6-1. Cory Alderman rounded out the singles action at No. 6 with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Quentin Hutchinson.

The Wolves tennis team was scheduled to visit Jones today at 2 p.m., but the match was cancelled due to the weather.
