The Franklin County Lady Bulldogs knocked off the Port Gibson Lady Blue Wave 16-1 and 19-0 Thursday night in a varsity fastpitch softball doubleheader at Meadville.

Franklin County dominated Port Gibson, plating 12 runs in the first inning and four more runs in the second inning to secure a quick win in a three-inning contest.

Port Gibson scored its only run of the night in the second inning.

Emilee Wallace was the winning pitcher for FC with four strikeouts and no walks in two innings of work. Shelly Case (0K, 1BB) pitched the third inning in relief.

Chasney Green and Wallace powered the Lady Bulldogs with a triple each. Cheyenne Higgs and Case provided a single each.

Franklin County continued its offensive onslaught, scoring four runs in the first inning, before exploding with a 15-run surge in the bottom of the second inning to collect another three-inning victory.

Wallace pitched the shutout win for the Lady Bulldogs with six strikeouts and no walks.

Jayde Haller led Franklin County with two singles. Green. Higgs and Case finished with a single each.
