Graveside services for Mary Alice Townsend are Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 12 p.m. at Easthaven Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Mrs. Townsend, 81, of Brookhaven, died Sunday, May 8, 2016, at her residence. She was born on July 6, 1934, in Mississippi to Parvin and Velma Taylor.

She worked as an LPN and was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Mary Vidrine; and brother, Hughey Taylor.

Survivors are her husband, William Douglas Townsend; sons, Phillip Douglas Townsend and William Daniel Townsend; daughter, Shirley Diane Brewer; brother, Earl Taylor; sister, Ruby Broussard; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
