A Brookhaven woman is dead after a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning.

Amy Kathryn Tanner, 29, of Union Church Road was killed when her Pontiac Grand Am ran off the road and struck a tree on Jackson-Liberty Drive. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department received the call at 5:30 a.m. Tanner was the only person in the vehicle.

Tanner was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:47 p.m. by Lincoln County Corner Clay McMorris.
