Funeral services for Jane Marie Jordan Holston are Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 2 p.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial in Easthaven Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Sullivan will officiate the service. 

Visitation is Thursday, May 19, 2016, from noon until 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holston, 70, died Saturday, May 14, 2016, at her residence in the Wesson community. She was born in Cullman, Alabama, to Willie Ray Griffin and Hilder May Evans Griffin.

Mrs. Holston was a former employee of Kroger. Later on she became a longtime truck driver. She enjoyed woodworking at could build almost anything from sight. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, crochet, and knitting.

Preceding her in death were her mother; husband, Dennis Jordan; infant son; and sisters, Faye Ratcliff and Patsy Overstreet.

Survivors are her son, Dennis Grant Jordan of Smithdale; grandchildren, Peyton Jordan and Alexis Jordan; father, Ray Griffin of Vidor, Texas; brother, Mike Griffin and wife, Judy, of Wesson; sisters, Elaine Allen of Oxford and Malinda Pierce of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Countrybrook Living Center staff and to Dr. Lewis for their care during her stay in the nursing home. They would also like to thank Gentiva Home Healthcare and their nurses for their care when she returned home.
