Several more indictments have been served by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office from a recent grand jury session.
A grand jury issues an indictment if it determines evidence presented to them by a prosecuting attorney is enough to establish the commission of a crime. An indictment does not represent a guilty verdict.
• Adam C. Brister was indicted for possession of at least one-tenth but less than 2 grams of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
• Adan Reyes was indicted for home repair fraud. The indictment accuses Reyes of receiving $30,000 after falsely representing that he would use the money to buy materials to repair the home of Nicole Case.
• Clarice Chante Smith was indicted for receiving stolen property. The indictment alleges that Smith knew or had reasonable grounds to believe that a 2006 Ford 500 sedan in her possession had been stolen.
• Dorothy H. Case was indicted for conspiracy to sale of five dosage units of fentanyl and unlawful sale of five dosage units of fentanyl.
• Larry Dernell Joiner, also known as LaKeith Martez Brown, was indicted for conspiracy and robbery. The indictment alleges that he, along with Michael William Carroll, stole a wallet belonging to Kenneth Paul Roberts on July 26, 2014.
• Tuwanika Faye Cleve was indicted for conspiracy and burglary of a dwelling. The indictment alleges that Cleve, along with Victor Sanders and Lawrence Wilson, forced their way into the home of Eddie Kendrick on Nov. 19, 2015, with the intention of committing larceny.
